The Iliad Short

Paris goes out with the beautiful Helen,
Menelaus’s temper keeps a swellin’
Causing a great big war in troy
All cause of the prissy Priam’s boy.

Then Achilles goes on the rampage
Achaean forces to enslave
’til Agamemnon steals Briseis
And his loyalty disappears.

The greeks are in big trouble
As the Trojans burst their bubble
And Achilles won’t fight no battles
He’s gone AWOL to feed some cattle.

But then Patroclus kicks the bucket
They say that Hector’s the one who dunnit
Which sends Achilles back fighting
Slaying, slicing, dicing and smiting.

Poor Troy don’t stand a chance
From the Greek in metal hotpants
Then Priam gets the bill
For Hector’s funeral.

The Illiad endeth there
on wrath, revenge and despair
Achilles’ heel is yet unaware
Of an arrow from Paris the Fair.

That’s it wrapped up in a jiffy
In a rhyme thats sometimes iffy
but I hope you’ve enjoyed my ditty
Helen’s version of Greek Mythies!!
