Picking and then eating and cooking apples and blackberries is what the whole year leads up to.

Mean Fhomhair, middle harvest or middle autumn is the Irish word for September.
It is always my most prolific month of the year, I always try harder in September, maybe the air with the return of the bite, comes up and jolts me back to make things, make do with things, tidy, plan, sing, sing, sing, sing, sing, and sing.

I've been singing House Carpenter, When The Breakers Go Back On Full Time, Peggy Gordon, Siúil a Rúin and Siún Ní Dhuibhir a lot since returning from holiday.
