My daughter has taken to asking this question to me on numerous occasions in a day. It is my favourite question.

Yesterday, I had a tricky mood day, I was feeling very tired and not in any form of gratitude thinking. In the evening, Venus (my girl) asked me the Why Are We So Lucky question and I grasped for something, remembering a fact I had read some time ago that Jupiter is the guardian of all the smaller planets in our solar system and without it we would be hit by streams of meteor showers.

So I said, we are lucky to have Jupiter watching out for us.

This led to an evening painting and chatting about space.

Even tricky mood days can end well with a good question.
